A Blank Page

On New Year’s Day at yoga today with Melissa Uchida Casses of http://www.makamovement.com/ , she read a quote that went something like this. “If this year of your life were a book and each page was blank, how would you write it?” The question reminded me of the intentionality we have the power to bring to our lives each day, instead of living like each day and the outcome are already written. So here is a question for me and you and all of us for the New Year: What is possible if we live each day with intentional purpose?

  1. That’s what I really like about teaching. I have the power to effect my students everyday. The power is mine.

    1. This reminds me of the Haim Ginott quote that I kept on my class computer: “I’ve come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It is my personal approach that creates the climate, it’s my daily mood that makes the weather. . . … It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make a life miserable or joyous.”
